Owner and chef, Giovanni Mazzola, grew up in the kitchen. From a very young age, he would often accompany his grandfather to work. His grandfather was a chef at the Grand Hotel Sciacca, just outside the family’s hometown of Palermo, Sicily. Fast forward to the age of 18, when a newly immigrated Giovanni opened his first restaurant in New York City. After much success in the Big Apple, Giovanni left the eleven eateries he operated and moved west to sun-kissed California. Upon arrival, he opened the much-acclaimed Vittorio’s in the Pacific Palisades and enjoyed twenty years of patronage before selling and starting anew yet again, this time in Malibu. Giovanni has called Malibu home for the past 7 years and is looking forward to many more. Come experience the old world feel and enjoy the wonderful food and superior service at Giovanni’s for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
